Wednesday 28th December, 2016 (Basseterre, St. Kitts) – For the first time in the history of the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival (SKNNC) has NHC been involved in sponsorship of said event. As this is the SKNNC’s 45th year of celebrations and NHC’s 20th Anniversary, NHC thought that it is with great humility that they contribute to this milestone.
NHC’s sponsorship assisted Contestant #5, Ms. Nakilah Watson of Molineux, in her preparations for the National Swimsuit Pageant that was held on Tuesday 27th December, in which she was placed 1st Runner-Up. Ms. Watson’s platform was Fighting Diabetes with a Healthy Diet, which was influenced by her love for medicine and her employment at the St. Kitts Biomedical Research Foundation.
“We are very proud to be a sponsor of Ms. Watson and by extension the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival, Sugar Mas 45. Our contribution came about as a result of it being a national event that celebrated its 45th year of existence. NHC celebrated 20 years in 2016 and so we understand the hard work and dedication that it takes to accomplish your goals. We extend heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Watson and wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” said the Hon. Eugene Hamilton, Minister with responsibility for NHC.
“I am extremely grateful to my sponsor, NHC, for the monetary assistance and confidence in me. It was an absolute privilege and honour being sponsored by such a prestigious organization. I did my best and I am glad that I made NHC proud. NHC is an organization that assists low income families in owning affordable homes and so I am proud to be associated with this company that has the people’s best interests at heart. I encourage home owners to fulfill their commitments to NHC so that NHC can continue to upgrade existing homes and deliver additional homes to the less fortunate,” said Ms. Watson.
NHC continues to exemplify its motto, ‘Raising Standards’.
