Basseterre, St. Kitts – September 20, 2025 – The National Housing Corporation (NHC) acknowledges the concerns raised by residents of the Garden Housing Project regarding the sewage backup which occurred during the Independence celebrations.
The Corporation wishes to assure all residents and the general public that a maintenance crew has been deployed to the site and is actively engaged in troubleshooting the situation. Every effort is being made to identify and resolve the issue in the shortest possible time so as to restore comfort and safety to the affected households.
NHC deeply regrets the inconvenience experienced by the residents, particularly at a time of national celebration, and remains committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of all tenants. The Corporation will continue to monitor the situation closely until full relief has been achieved.
