Basseterre, St. Kitts – September 22, 2025 – The National Housing Corporation (NHC) is pleased to report that the recent sewage backup which affected three apartments at the Garden Housing Project has been fully resolved.
Our first priority was the comfort and well-being of the residents. The affected families were promptly accommodated off-site while the issue was addressed, and their apartments have since been carefully cleaned and sanitized for safe re-occupancy.
NHC sincerely thanks the residents for their patience and understanding during this unexpected challenge. We remain committed to responding quickly to situations like these and ensuring that all tenants enjoy safe and healthy living spaces.
As part of our ongoing efforts to prevent future issues, we gently remind residents of all rental apartments to be mindful of what is flushed into toilets. Items such as plastic bags, sanitary napkins, and other foreign objects can cause serious blockages and disrupt the drainage system. Responsible use helps us keep everyone’s homes running smoothly.
